Walking In The Spirit Of Life And Fulfilling Righteousness.

Yah Messiah said. It is the spirit that quickeneth/gives life; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63.

The spoken and written word of Yah-the scriptures is spirit and life, because it was written and spoken by His Holy Spirit.

The apostle Paul wrote. For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. Romans 7:14.

For we know that the law is spiritual:

Paul also wrote. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ/Messiah Jesus/Yahushua, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ/Messiah Jesus/Yahushua hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God/Elohim sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1-4.

That above is a profound statement by the apostle Paul, because those who walk in the Spirit will fulfill the righteousness of the spiritual law of Yah Elohim, but first let's look at two opposite sides, the one is walking after the lusts of the flesh, and walking after or in the Spirit.

Paul lists the LUSTS OF THE FLESH as compared to walking in the Spirit here. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under (judgment) of the law.

Now the works of the flesh are manifest/made known, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God/Elohim. Galatians 5:16-21

All of these things listed by Paul above are transgressions of the divine law of Elohim 1 John 3:4. Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings

Paul also wrote this about himself as serving the law of Elohim. For I/Paul delight in the law of God/Elohim after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

I thank God through Jesus/Yahushua Christ/Messiah our Lord/Yah. So then with the mind I/Paul myself serve the law of God/Elohim; but with the flesh the law of sin. Romans 7:22-25.

So Paul said that he served the law of Elohim with his mind or spirit-the inward man, he walked in the Spirit by fulfilling the law of Elohim.

We see from Paul's statements above that he obeyed the law of Yah in his mind the inward man, this is interesting since in the New Covenant the law is written in our hearts and minds-which is in our spirit also.

For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord/Yah, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord/Yah.

For this is the (new) covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord/Yah; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God/Elohim, and they shall be to me a people: Hebrews 8:8-10; Jeremiah 31:31-33.

So disobedience to the law of Yah are lusts of the flesh, but to obey them in the mind and spirit is to walk in the spirit of life, and one sure way of knowing those who serve and obey Yah is if they believe and obey the law and the prophets, and if they do not, then they are still carnal minded and against Yah laws and commandments.

In this ye will know those who obey and serve Yah Messiah and those who do not serve and obey Him.

The things that defile a person.

Yah Messiah also said. And he said,That which comes out of the man, that defiles the man.

For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. Mark 7:20-23.

Again, all of these things that come from within the mind and heart of people are violations of the divine law of Yah and defiles a person, and do ye have ears to hear?
