The apostle Paul wrote in the book of Hebrews: Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
For unto us/the apostles was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

as well as unto them:
Who is THE THEM spoken of here?
Well, if ye back up into the 3rd chapter of the book of Hebrews he tells us who the THEM really are.
Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?

This is referencing back to the children of Israel that came out of Egypt, and the ONLY GOSPEL that was preached to them was by Yah Messiah when He spoke the 10 commandments to THEM in Exodus 20.

So don't believe the lawless ones that tell ye that the Commandments are not part of the GOSPEL because they surely are a part of the Gospel according to the apostle Paul here above.
And will ye heed and hear these words, because if ye do not, it means that ye are in UNBELIEF and in sin.
