Ken, I think that ye don't understand this, and if ye think the Jews today followed the calendar that King David used in the scriptures ye are sorely mistaken, each priest would serve twice for seven days during a year. Now please tell me, if the seven day planetary week was being used in the first century why did at least Luke did not mentioned these "sunday, monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday, satyrday? Shalom Eliyahu, the fragments that were quoted from were very ancient, BEFORE the time of Messiah, so when they show Sabbaths falling on the 2nd and 25th day of the month, your LUNAR Sabbath is destroyed. Now you ask about Luke not using the pagan names of the week days, it's like he didn't use the pagan names of the months either. Why would he use pagan names for the week days or the months? You need to tell me that. Blessings in The Name, ImAHebrew. No Ken, your one always using these pagan names, it goes with the pagan seven day planetary week that ye are arguing to keep.

Shalom Eliyahu, please show me ONE verse where G71 has a translation as "is," other than in Luke 24:21: (Lk 24:21) But we trusted that it had been He which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is ( G71) the third day since these things were done. I suppose Eliyahu, the IS could be ONE of the 5 miscellaneous translations of this Greek word. The translators were opinionated just like you to believe that "to day IS the third day," instead of correctly translating it "to day leads the third day." Now, where was "to day" LEADING the third day? "To day" was LEADING the third day AWAY FROM when these things were done! Pretty simple when you are aware of the TRUTH, isn't it Eliyahu? Blessings in The Name, ImAHebrew. Please Ken, don't go through your laughable twisting of this text again to deny it says the third day so ye can say it is the fourth day, because it looks stupid on your part. Shalom Eliyahu, nice NON answer to my question. What's laughable is your inability to study the Scriptures correctly. Blessings in The Name, ImAHebrew

ImAHebrew: Yes that would be nice someday, however, judgment begins with the house of God 1-Peter 4:17 and God's people should be honest with the word and honest with self and each other Luke 8:15, 2-Corinthians 8:21. I've begun to understand how serious and important it is to know God's calendar; because the 4th commandment Sabbath is at the heart of His laws, it identifies as a sign whom one worships, and in the end times in Revelation 14:7,9 the issue will be over whom you worship, and the devil deceives the world Revelation 12:9, Revelation 13 to try and steal God's true worshipers, and the only way to do that is with a counterfeit calendar and week.

Shalom Ron, yes, being honest is always best. I have honestly proven that the Greek word G71 should NOT be translated as "is." In Luke 24:21, the biased translators say, "Today is (G71) the third day," when HONESTLY it should read, "Today leads the third day." If Luke wanted to show that "Today IS the third day," he should have better used G2076, like he used in Luke 23:38, "THIS IS (G2076) THE KING OF THE JEWS." And looking honestly at Luke 23:1 you see how Luke was thinking about this Greek word G71, "And the whole multitude of them arose, and led (G71) Him unto Pilate." So honestly speaking, THAT day, in which the two Disciples were so sad on, was the day AFTER the third day, as THAT day was leading the third day AWAY FROM when those things were done. And then again, honestly speaking Ron, "what is unimaginable is trying to imagine the Sabbath drawing on, the men hurrying to get Yeshua's dead body in the tomb before the Sabbath, the women OUT at the tomb watching as the stone is rolled into place, and then returning to Galilee, preparing the burial ointments (a very lengthy process back then), and then RESTING on the Sabbath, all BEFORE buying the spices that were needed." See, honestly speaking, those who believe in a Friday crucifixion, and with Yeshua being buried right at sunset with the Sabbath upon them, have to totally discount the facts of the women who followed Yeshua FROM Galilee and THEN returned after watching the stone rolled over the entrance to the tomb. And as Mark's account shows, the Sabbath was PAST when the women went out to buy the ingredients to make the burial perfumes, but then Luke's account tells us they made the burial perfumes and THEN rested on the Sabbath in obedience to the commandment. Quite unimaginable, if one is being honest Ron, to assume a Friday crucifixion. Blessings in The Name, ImAHebrew.

Shalom Eliyahu and Ron, this is so simple, an honest look at the facts prove without a doubt that Yeshua was crucified on Wednesday, was placed in the tomb right at sunset as the High Day Sabbath of ULB was beginning, He remained in the tomb for the amount of time Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish, and rose right at sunset. So the third day resurrection could be viewed as at the end of the Saturday Sabbath, or at the beginning of the 1st day of the week, Sunday...it was BETWEEN the eves.
1. As you know, Yeshua spoke about there being 12 hours in the day, and when He said the ONLY sign He would give that wicked and adulterous generation is the sign of Jonah, "For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." It should be very clear that from Friday at sunset to Sunday morning at sunrise does not fulfill Yeshua's sign. Rather, Wednesday sunset to Saturday sunset IS three days and three nights.
2. The two disciples are said by Yeshua to be sad. Why were they sad IF it was still the third day? But they say, "we trusted that it had been He which should have redeemed Israel." Yeshua had predicted time and time again to His Disciples that He would rise on or after three days (depending on which instance you look at.) So the third day was VERY important to them, and they speak in the past tense, "we trusted that it had been He," because they KNEW the third day was being LED FROM when those things were done. If it was still the third day, why be sad with a loss of hope that it should had been He to redeem Israel?
3. The translators were BIASED in their translation of Luke 24:21 BECAUSE they believed Sunday WAS the third day. A number of commentators speak about how difficult this Greek verse is to translate into English. The difficulty stems from their belief that Sunday was the third day, you take away that belief and this verse is very easy to translate. But being biased can make the translators use English words that are not there in the Greek, just like they did when they translated Passover as Easter, they were BIASED to think that Easter took the place of Passover so they changed the Greek word to accommodate their presuppositions. The same thing happened here in Luke 24:21. Today IS (G71) the third day, follows their BIAS, as G71 is ONLY translated as IS in this ONE verse. In the Strongs G71: So you could say that "Today leads the third day away from (G575) when these things were done." Look in the Strongs for G575 and you will see that it means to separate something away from something else, just like TODAY leads the third day AWAY FROM: If one is honest, one will recognize that Luke was NOT saying Today IS the third day, but rather Today LEADS the third day away from. If he meant IS, he would have used a DIFFERENT Greek word.
4. And we have a lost Aramaic translation that was found in a Tibetan monastery sometime around 1870, and was translated to the old-style KJV by Rev. G.J.R. Ouseley. It was called "The Gospel of the Holy Twelve," and in it was a version of Luke's 24:21, and this is how it reads: The emphasis is on the fact that the third day (three days) had passed, so he didn't have to say it was the fourth day, but that IS what it was, it was the fourth day from when these things were done. The third day was the whole object of what had been predicted, and when it had passed (been led away), the hope that He would had redeemed Israel passed away also, and that is why the two disciples were sad.
5. Finally, there is no viable answer to the below statement to believe in a Friday crucifixion if Yeshua was placed in the tomb as the Sabbath drew upon them: So please Eliyahu and Ron, be honest. Blessings in The Name, ImAHebrew

And the miracle sign of Jonah in Matthew 12:40 like Jonah, Christ was resurrected, and no one had ever resurrected themselves before, and the miracle was not the length of time that Christ would be in the tomb. By the way, that was dishonesty on your part trying to change the word 'three or third' to mean 'fourth' in the text of Luke 24:21 shame on you, Eliyahu predicted that you would do this and you did.

Shalom Ron, I said the "emphasis" is on the FACT that the third day HAD PASSED. Now, my math tells me that IF the third day passes, and is GONE, then the day that you are speaking this on, and saying that the third day has passed, well, doesn't YOUR math also tell you it's the FOURTH DAY? I NEVER have said that it states the "fourth day," but that IS what it is, it WAS the fourth day from when these things were done. Shalom Ron, as I said, it depended upon which "instance" you looked at. Almost all do say the third day He would rise, but we have ONE "instance" to gives us a little more information. It tells us that "after three days" He would rise again. Here again, I can only assume, but I would think that "after three days" would mean at the very END of those three days. And how about that, IF He was in the tomb for a full three days and three nights, and rose at the END of the third day (Saturday/Sabbath), then one COULD say He was rising "after three days." ( Mk 8:31) And He began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and [of] the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. Here again Ron, you have misunderstood what I wrote concerning Luke 24:21. I have NEVER stated the text SAYS the fourth, all I have ever said is that a proper understanding of what Luke wrote SHOWS they were saying the third day had come and gone, and they were speaking on the fourth day, but they were not explaining that to you, you have to UNDERSTAND what is written. Shalom Dear Eliyahu, please note that I desire you to be as a brother, but for that to happen, we need to agree. Now, I am pretty good at reading into what people write, and when you wrote this: This is how I READ you: Ok, so I saw your challenge, and I know there would be NOTHING you would be able to present that would destroy my belief in a Wednesday Crucifixion, so I told you: Now, you were unwilling to "go for it," and instead, you asked a question in YOUR pursuit of wasting my time: Instead of SHOWING me YOUR proof, you started PLAYING your GAMES asking me to give YOU proof about what I KNOW and BELIEVE. That is YOUR MOA, tell us YOU have PROOF, and THEN ask us to give you OUR Proof. I called you out on it and what did you do? You acted like I wouldn't answer YOUR question. Then you SWITCHED gears and asked me a different question: Ok, so I give you a VERY detailed answer to YOUR question, but look what happens, you challenge me by asking ANOTHER question, telling me something is MISSING from my answer: Can you imagine that? Something was missing from my answer! Well, here was my response: So I tell you NOTHING was left out of my answer, and then you switch gears again and ask another NEW question: Oh boy, now we are back to the OLD Eliyahu, asking the same question over and over again. Have you forgotten? I thought you had a "photographic" memory? So, my answer is that you cannot TELL which of the seven days is the Saturday Sabbath, unless you KNOW what day of the week the 1st day of the month fell on. Here is an EXAMPLE of a calendar that SHOWS when the 7th Day of the Week (Saturday Sabbath) can fall BETWEEN the TWO ANNUAL High Sabbaths Days of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which will DESTROY your Lunar Sabbath: So Eliyahu, as you can see IF you are HONEST and SINCERE, in this EXAMPLE, the WEEKLY Saturday 7th Day Sabbath falls on the 18th day of the Lunar Month, and THAT destroys YOUR Lunar Sabbath. Blessings in The Name, ImAHebrew. ImAHebrew this calendar above of your's does not have any scriptural texts that identify Saturday as being the true Sabbath day. There are no corresponding scriptural texts that go along with a Saturday, why?
